About Recorder Kalie Work

Kalie Work currently serves as the Washoe County Recorder, where she advocates for the use of technology to make local government more efficient, secure, and user-friendly.

Kalie’s most notable achievements in her first term include launching a property recording alert system free for residents and digitizing the County’s historical property records for public accessibility and business continuity.

A proud Nevada native, Kalie earned her bachelor’s degree in speech from the University of Nevada, Reno and master’s degree in business management from Harvard University. She is determined to bring innovation and sustainable practices to her work in county government.

Kalie serves on the board of the National Association of County Official’s Technology committee and Nevada County Fiscal Officers Association.

Kalie is a doting wife to her husband, Mathew. They have a clever nine-year-old daughter. Together, they enjoy time at the horse stables, Wolf Pack sports games, and adventures with their two dogs (Tyson and Maisel).
